My Bio

My past life has taken me on many adventures including studying at George Washington University in pursuit of my BA in English with a Minor in Human Services to working for high profile companies like Yahoo! and Volkswagen and Audi of America. I lived in Bavaria, Germany for 2.5 years and speak German fluently. My work experience includes research, analytical, and brand management skills as well as writing. While at GW, I served as an AmeriCorps Learn & Serve member for two years working in a work study capacity as a Volunteer Coordinator. My first term involved teaching at Northwest Settlement House, a preschool, and recruiting, managing, and retaining volunteers for the site. My second term was spent at an after school tutoring program, Martha’s Table, for inner city elementary school children. After graduation, I worked for Project Northstar a homeless tutorial project that provided after school one-on-one tutoring to children living with their families in homeless shelters. My non-profit work was extremely rewarding and took me on

many adventures where I met Hilary and Bill Clinton during service projects. More importantly, I was able to meet extraordinary children as well as young professionals who were committed to giving their time and knowledge in order to nurture those children who lacked the appropriate resources. When I think of all the even more wonderful things I could have done if today’s social networking and online forums had been accessible, the possibilities seem limitless! The latter half of my work experience has been spent in the corporate world. The exposure to brand management and strategic sales and targeted online advertising while working for Volkswagen of America and Yahoo! HotJobs has definitely prepared me for my next big adventure into marketing. I recently completed my Masters in Marketing at Baruch College and am looking forward to digging my heels into the online marketing field.
